Photonic Signals Systems Group
The Photonic Signals and Systems Group led by Prof. José Azaña is a very dynamic and innovative research group at INRS-EMT in Montreal, Canada.
The group has a worldwide recognized record of achievements in ultrafast optical signal processing using fiber and integrated-waveguide photonic components and devices. Group activities comprise theoretical and experimental research on a very diverse range of device and system – level topics, at the leading edge of technology. Applications of specific interest to the group include ultrahigh-speed communications, all-optical computing, optical pulse shaping and arbitrary waveform generation, ultrafast metrology, advanced optical imaging, and broadband microwave information processing.

Nonlinear Photonics Group

The Nonlinear Photonics Group led by Prof. Roberto Morandotti is a team that pursues dynamic and innovative research at INRS-EMT in Montreal, Canada.
It has a world recognized record of achievements in such disciplines as Quantum Optics, Metrology, Nano- and Biophotonics, Terahertz (THz) science and, of course, Nonlinear Optics using bulk, fiber and integrated optical components and devices. It is an acknowledged group of excellence in many disciplines as can be seen in the individual project pages. The group pursues a very diverse range of topics at the leading edge of technology
